Parent Teacher Organization
PTO is a friendly group of parents, teachers and school administration formed to promote academic, social and spiritual enrichment through sponsorship and leadership for a variety of programs and projects.
All meetings are "general meetings" and everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend! Every session is open to ALL adults in our school family!
Our Mission is to promote communication between parents, teachers, administration, and parish committees, and the parish at large resulting in goodwill, cooperation and a positive education experience for the students.
Some of PTO’s initiatives include the financial support of technology integration in the classroom, the Academic Programs, Academic Games team, Forensics team, Science Olympiad, Chess Club and others. We also sponsor several programs throughout the year to give our children an opportunity to advance their social and spiritual needs. Programs include: COSI (traveling hands-on science program), author visits, Detroit Opera House, retreats, plays. Our volunteers support the PTO with gifts of time and talents for: the Christmas Shoppe; school wide field day, held each spring; play-scape upkeep, and room parent activities.
The PTO’s primary funding is the annual Applefest and Gala. AppleFest is a Parish-wide, 3-day festival held each September. AppleFest funds are shared equally by the Parish, the School and Athletics. All school families are encouraged to volunteer and attend this community-building event.
